Sailing:  I live for sailing.  I grew up on Lake Murray near Columbia,
South Carolina.  I've been sailing for so long that my earliest sailing
memories are kind of hazy.  My family had several boats while I was
growing up, but my personal fleet has included a  Laser, Lightning,
Fireball, and a Sunfish.  After racing in drifting matches for most of
my youth I moved to Charleston where the wind blows steadily
thanks to a consistent sea breeze.  Charleston has become home to
some world class sailboat racing, and has played host to several
epic sailing events.  I've been fortunate enough to sail on some
awesome boats down there such as a SR33, J105, J-30, F32,  Melges
24, Y-Flyers, and several E-Scows.  I'm a unified partner with the
Special Olympics, and enjoy giving back to the sailing community
when I can.  I've gone back to basics so to speak, and have bought
a Sunfish and enjoy the strength of the local fleet which includes
former 2 time Sunfish World Champion David Loring.  I cruise as
much as time will allow, for I enjoy taking long journeys on boats
when I get the chance.  I've sailed a good bit offshore, but enjoy the
tranquility of sailing with my brother all night long on his Morgan 27.
Most people figure out how important sailing is when they hear or
read my last name....it's a family thing.
