This page is dedicated to the display and sale of some of my 2 dimensional art
work.  My "real job" is teaching art at R.B. Stall High School in North Charleston,
S.C. Needless to say, teaching art for 9 years makes you skilled in all media.  I
enjoy painting, and am currently developing a show dedicated to the ritual of
sailing.  I am also creating art that's dedicated to provoking thought about the
current state of the world, but I'm not going to show that here, you can contact
me if you want to see that, or keep an eye out a underground art shows in the
area.
This photograph of David Loring was used
for the front cover of Back to Basics for
Sunfish World Championship Speed.

I also  used it when i designed  the ad (see
below) for the Windward Leg Magazine.
This is a watercolor painting of Charlie Jackson
rebuilding a winch in Key West.  It's the first in a
series of paintings that I'm dedicating to the
ritual of sailboat racing.

I've been experimenting with communicating
ideas with unconventional materials lately.
This particular piece is simply titled "Why?".  I
used little green army men adhered with a
mixture of sand and acrylic gel medium.  I
invite the viewer to draw their own
conclusions about the piece.
I finished the sculpture of Medusa on November 10. - It's the first piece I've ever designed specifically for a particular
art contest .  Charleston County Recycled Arts holds an annual event that features art made of recycled material.  I've always
had a fascination with Greek Mythology, and felt Medusa would make interesting subject matter.  She's made entirely of
recyclable material - the torso/head is made of corrugated cardboard, and the snakes are made of milk jugs.  When I get
her back from the contest I will add more snakes to the head and polish it a little more.  I kind of like the roughish look of
the entire piece.

This is a portrait of my six year old
with my Nerf Vulcan Machine gun.  I
actually have a video of her
shooting it on my Youtube account.
This painting is not about politics,
it's about female empowerment.

This piece is titled Generational Welfare (April 2010) - it's a
statement on the trend of people born into welfare who continue
to live on welfare as a result of feeling entitled to welfare.
